Out Youth Writers Workshop, is a community-based and artist-driven collaborative project.  It is designed to showcase and empower young writers. Our aim is to connect and strengthen the creativity of growing writers through neighborhood collaboration. The Youth Writers Workshop will encourage participants to tap into their literary artist and express themselves.  We have partnered with community leaders who are investing in transforming the minds of the youth. Middle and High-School students of Water Walkers and Metro Park Community Centers will engage in an 8-week long workshop to develop writing skills every Friday at The Forge/HOME.  Writings will be centered around the themes in Angie Thomas’ New York Times Best Selling novel, "The Hate U Give."
